25 years of independence is a period of growing trust between the Kazakhstan people and the state and its leader, devotion to the place where you were born, the desire to grow by themselves and raise children in a developing multinational country.

Now Kazakhstan people are proud to say that they live in a peaceful and stable country that constantly is overcoming new milestones to provide the better life for its citizens.

Interesting life of young mathematicians

Interesting life of young mathematicians2016-2017 academic year was intense and productive for the wards of the “Saby” Charitable Foundation. As part of young talents support program “Alem”, they attend courses for advanced young mathematicians. Classes have a positive effect on the academic performance of all students, which have resulted in their high grades in algebra and geometry in the first quarter of the school year.

Math courses allow children to show good results in mathematics, to develop their abilities. So, during the time of training already 5 pupils have achieved considerable success.

Brothers Akezhan and Daulet ALIBAYEV were enrolled to Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Almaty to chemical and biological branch and there they were able to take leading places in the Olympic team. Another student of the courses Ayazhan DAUTALI has also entered NIS just to physical-mathematical branch. Young mathematician Temirlan TOLEPBEK entered Physical and mathematical gymnasia №134 of Almaty city and this year has fought his way to the final competition of Zhautykov Republican Olympiad.

During competitions at various levels, students of the courses show good results. For example, Maxim GURA as part of the RPMS joint Olympic team rated the 9th in the Republican Olympiad in robotic technology among 50 participating teams. This was the great victory for the team of Maxim, as it took part in the Olympiad for the first time.

Preparatory Center also holds for our children free lessons in English, physics, chemistry and holds regular cultural events in order to promote students for their results. Such selfless work of teachers, who have become real tutors for students gives the opportunity to achieved 100% attendance and excellent results.

“Saby” Foundation will build a playground in the City of Atyrau

“Saby” Foundation will build a playground in the City of Atyrau One of the main goals of the “Saby” Charitable Foundation is to create the best possible conditions for raising children. In order to facilitate this Foundation constructs modern high-quality children’s playgrounds in various cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 35 already commissioned playgrounds and sports facilities allow children to spend time with profit to their health.

In November 2016 a memorandum regarding the construction of the modern children’s playground as the part of the “Sports – Health – Achievements” project have been signed by the local administration of the City of Atyrau. Playground shall be constructed in City of Atyrau, at the address Satpayev Street 19.

In May 2017 a huge playground complex with the total area of approximately 2000 square meters, equipped with brand new swings, ropes, carousels, bars, slides, exercise equipment and the integrated zone for children who suffer from muscle-skeleton disorders shall become available to all children and teens of the City of Atyrau.

This project has become unique not only for the City but also for the Foundation itself. This facility has been constructed on the basis of the custom design instead of a standardized one. It is developed in collaboration with the KSIL International Company and has no analogs in the whole country. During the playground design process requirements of all relevant local and international safety standards have been met. Also the rubber coating has been used in order to prevent injuries.

Estimated cost of the project – 70 000 000 tenge.

Debut of “alemovets”

Debut of “alemovets” On 17th of November in Abay Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre took place a debut of Azamat Malyshov, a participant of the “Alem” support program for child prodigies of the “Saby” Charity Foundation.

Singer had brilliantly performed the part of Mandarin in the staging of the “Turandot” opera and had received well earned ovation of the crowd.

For Azamat 2016 has become very rich for important events. He had successfully graduated the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatoire majoring in “Vocal”. While studying he managed to perfect his vocal skills by participating in the chorus of the theater which he has joined as one of the soloists.

We wish our “alemovets” to play many desired roles and reach the worldwide renown.

School construction in Almaty city. StagesConstruction of the “Secondary school designed for 1200 students in Akzhar village of the Nauryzbayskiy District of Almaty city” is 70% complete.

At the beginning of December connection of the heating system is planned in order to complete interior finishing of the building. For such purposes installation of internal and external partition walls, insulating glass units and heaters is currently being performed in all 10 building blocks.

In the process of construction only environment friendly materials produced by local manufacturers are used.

Professional Orientation Tests 2016-2017, Stage 1

Professional Orientation Tests 2016-2017, Stage 1 Professional orientation tests are widely used all over the world in order to determine schoolchildren’s competences when they choose their future professions. Such tests also help to reveal their interests and tastes in a certain field of activities, become familiar with many previously unknown professions and understand if an intended graduate can fulfil himself in this or that profession.

It is very important for the Saby Charity Foundation to help its 33 paternalized and orphaned children to make a right choice when choosing their future professions as this can define the quality of their further life. For this purpose, the Foundation conducts professional orientation tests in several stages every year.

Some days ago, the first stage of the professional orientation tests was conducted according to the special computer method developed in Lomonosov Moscow State University for the orphanages of Almaty City and Almaty Region within the education project implemented by the Saby Foundation. The second stage will be conducted in February 2017.

We sincerely hope that every child will be able to make a right choice and fill his life with bright and interesting moments!

Project of vital concernment We would like to bring to your attention account a report on the “GIVE A GIFT OF LIFE TO CHILDREN” SMS promotional event established jointly with Voluntary Mercy Society in 2007. Over these years we see that monetary funds collected thanks to the project help to the thousands of diseased children to fight off their diseases and to start living of full life of happiness.

As of October 14, 2016, 1435 children from all the regions of Kazakhstan received the assistance. The amount of the paid surgical operations comprises KZT 2,137,352, 438 tenge. A total 2033 operations have been made (for some children the operations were made more than one time).

It is fairly easy to take part in the event. Send SMS with “1” text message to 9099 short number and amount equal to KZT280 will be debited from your telephone’s account and transferred to the special account opened within the framework of the project. The service is available for users of ACTIV, KCELL and BEELINE mobile operators. Mobile operators perform the 100% fee free transfer of the donations.

Thank you very much on behalf of children who are recovered and making progress and on behalf of their parents. It has been well said that a good man takes to heart the someone else’s disease!

With renewed vigor to the new UNT format

With renewed vigor to the new UNT format Since 2017 the Unified National Testing format will be changed in Kazakhstan. Now UNT will be divided into two stages. Following the results of the first phase, which will be held in schools, the school leavers will receive a certificate of secondary education. The second stage of the examination will be fundamental for admission to the universities of the country.

For school leavers UNT is a crucial and serious step that determines in the future the selection of their profession and higher educational institution. And to be pioneers at passing of the new format of the examination is doubly exciting.

“Saby” Foundation will help to the pupils of orphanage No.1 of Almaty city and boarding school for children from low-income families of Almaty region to prepare for the final and entrance examinations. To this end, on October 1 within the framework of educational project the Fund has organized the eight-month preparatory courses to UNT, which will be held in the “Dostyk” Educational Center which has already proved itself as a reliable partner.

During the 2016-2017 academic year, we will share certainly the results of the interim tests of our charges and hope that they will pass the examinations with dignity and live up to the efforts and expectations invested in them.

The talent fruitless without persistence

The talent fruitless without persistence Human talent and diligence, especially if that is a child, should always be encouraged. But sometimes it happens so that the circumstances prevent for not only getting the deserved awards, but even a demonstration of their ability to prove to others and, above all, to yourself that you are worthy to be the best in your labor of love. It happened in the life of young violinist Malika Bekturova, repeat winner of national and international contests.

Malika is a 8th grade student of the Republican Special Musical Boarding School for gifted children named after K. Bayseitova in Almaty. Despite her young age, she manifests the unchildish perseverance and desire to achieve results, performing a seven-hour daily rehearsals for violin playing during the academic year and even on holidays. Her parents support the musical talent of their daughter and are doing their best that her activities will be worthily appreciated by leading musicians. But, unfortunately, this year they were not able to pay for the Malika’s trip to the 4th International Contest of Violinists named after L. Auer in St. Petersburg.

The girl also has shown perseverance in this matter and began to look for additional ways to get after all to the contest. She found in the Internet our www.alemthebig.kz web-site and has filed an application to participate in the “Alem” program for supporting young talents organized by the “Saby” Foundation. After reviewing her resume the Fund management decided to support young talent and to finance her trip to the contest in the northern capital of Russia.

We hope that Malik will live up to our expectations and will represent Kazakhstan to the entire world.
