The Alem Program: A Second Chance

The Alem Program: A Second Chance CNT (Common National Testing) is the most spoken abbreviation of this summer arousing a bunch of emotions among enrollees. For someone it opened doors of universities to gain new knowledge while others were not so lucky with the testing. Some enrollees were not ready enough, others were just at a loss and could not overcome psychological stress.

It is a pity that because of one or two insufficient points 11 years of hard work and diligent study are in vain and the Government Scholarship remains to be a dream. In such cases the talented children need a second chance, moreover if they are rural schools leavers, the parents’ income of whose does not allow them to enter the university on a paid basis.

Saby Charitable Foundation with its Alem Young Talents Support Program was a kind of sheet anchor for the children who showed excellent results during the whole period of study but went a little wrong on the testing. The Foundation finances the education of talented boys and girls not restricting them in the choice of a university, hence converting their dreams into reality. Quality education of young people is one of priorities of the future development of Kazakhstan.

The transparence of the Program gives a chance to anyone who wishes to obtain an in-demand profession – you need only pass competitive selection and certainly believe in yourself!

Go Ahead, Alga! Or New Possibilities

Go Ahead, Alga! Or New Possibilities Saby Charitable Foundation extends its activity far beyond Almaty – to all regions of Kazakhstan. Beneficiaries of Saby are both individuals and organizations. Among them there is Aktobe Regional Rehabilitation Center in Alga town. Children with mental retardation, infantile cerebral paralysis, musculoskeletal abnormalities, speech impediments, and those having difficulties in learning as a result of neuropsychiatric disorders are raised here.

It is important to note that about four hundred children have improved their health during three years of the Center’s activity and all those who took a treatment course have made notable improvements in physical and mental state as well as in social adaptation.

In order to provide necessary conditions for physical exercises and outdoor recreation of little patients, the Foundation decided to equip the children playground in the territory of the medical institution with the following facilities: swings, turnarounds, rocking chairs, tables and benches, a big jungle gym and a sand playground which are specially designed with account of specific needs of users.

The assembling of this modern facility was carried out within the frame of the Sport-Health-Achievement Project. The object in Alga has been the second one implemented out of the four scheduled projects of this summer/autumn season. As soon as it is put into operation, employees of the institution will have new possibilities to perform complex recovery procedures and the number of recovering people will undoubtedly increase.

With Future Perspective

With Future Perspective Graduates of boarding schools. How little we know about them. It is difficult to imagine how hard their life becomes after they graduate from boarding schools. How much obstacles and difficulties they have to overcome being left without pedagogic guardianship, having neither real-life experience, nor relatives support. How difficult to get education, to find a job and to survive when you are quite alone. How impossible to realize the right to have your own accommodation unit. Practice shows that just few of these guys succeed in acquiring their own accommodation.

Having launched the Youth Project a year ago, Saby Charitable Foundation renders assistance to young orphans in acquiring apartments on a preferential basis. According to the Projects provisions, the Foundation transfers initial contributions as accommodation savings in the amount of 50% of the cost of one-bedroom flat to the accounts, opened in Zhilstroisberbank, of the participants who will later make every effort to gather necessary sum to buy a flat or a house.

Graduates of Almaty boarding schools, who have reached the age of 23 years old and have higher education and permanent job, will be able to benefit this unique opportunity. But the selection is serious. Last year there were six lucky persons, this year the Foundation’s Board has approved only two guys from all applicants.

In three years, which will pass in no time, our participants will celebrate their first housewarming party.

Follow Olympic Sportsmen!

Follow Olympic Sportsmen! These warm August days, our whole country is in euphoria from sports fever. This is thanks to the talented sportsmen representing Kazakhstan in the 2012 Olympic Games. Watching daily the competitions in London, we enjoy wonderful performance of our athletes, one by one making world records and winning medals of the highest value.

Saby Charitable Foundation, constantly aspiring for the improvement of social standards of living, aims at the development of the culture and potential of younger generation by accustoming young people to a healthy life-style and physical activity.

No wonder that one of our priorities is the ‘Sport-Health-Achievements’ Project, the main goal of which is the training of worthy representatives of the national sport. We truly believe that already now future champions are trained in the buildings constructed by Saby Charitable Foundation and we will be proud of their future achievements on the world sport stages.

The multipurpose sports ground for football, volleyball and basket-ball games in Semei city, delivered several days ago, is our successive, the twenty-third contribution to the development of Kazakhstani Olympic movement!

A Funding Support of KazRosGaz

A Funding Support of KazRosGaz The construction of a new building for the Children Orphanage in Kyzylorda, planned by Saby Charitable Foundation within the framework of the Orkendeu Project, is a serious step which requires great investments. Certainly, it is impossible to carry out such large-scale works by sole efforts of our Foundation. We launched a fund raiser for the erection of building and received responses from many Kazakhstan companies and private individuals.

We would like to highlight and express a deep gratitude to the Kazakhstan-Russian Joint Enterprise KazRosGaz LLP. Having accepted social policy as one of the priority tasks on the modern stage of development, KazRosGaz LLP is a permanent philanthropist which has already contributed several times to the realization of the Foundation’s projects. For instance, the reinforcement of the Invataxi Almaty car fleet, about which we have reported on our web site, became possible thanks to KazRosGaz LLP.

The next significant step in our cooperation is the funding of the construction of a future orphanage in Kyzylorda. The large tranche was transferred to the account of Saby Foundation. The amount received will significantly cover the expenses on the installation of walls, roofage, utility network and equipment, communication installation, decoration works and territory improvement.

And we, in our turn, will timely submit a detailed report about the intended expenditure of the allocated funds.

We would like to give once again our cordial thanks to the management and all employees of KazRosGaz LLP for the invaluable participation in the project!
