Lessons in the tutorial center have given already their results Six-monthly tutorial lessons we spoke previously about are continued. During almost two months fosterlings of orphanages being pupils of senior classes attend the municipal tutorial center where they can improve their knowledge in basic subjects included in the United National Testing.

Children attend lectures with pleasure. Individual approach to each pupil allows determining and eliminating gaps in knowledge. It is already possible to speak about the first results: during a trial test organized for the purpose of checking skills gained in the course of tutorial lessons pupils showed very good results: over 90 points out of 100 possible points!

Except the store of knowledge children are implanted with love for subjects and diligence. Furthermore, future school leavers are interested both in improvement of their knowledge in the school programme and in getting an opportunity to continue education in colleges and universities at the cost of Educational Grants provided by the “Saby” Foundation.

Report on the “Save the Children’s Life” Project

At the beginning of 2011 the amount of receipts and surgical operations paid under the joint action “Save the Children’s Life” organized by the Mercy Volunteer Society and the “Saby” Charitable Foundation was equal to US$ 1,640,538.

Due to efforts of a great many people and organizations the assistance has been rendered to 288 children from various cities and regions of Kazakhstan.

We remind to everybody who wants to take participation in the Action that you can send a SMS containing a figure 1 to a short number 8099, thereby you will make a contribution in the amount of 280 tenge to a special account opened for the purpose of treatment of children in foreign medical institutions.

A participant of the “Alem” Programme has performed in Astana on the New Year Eve organized by the Akim Concert performance given on the New Year Eve has become a breakthrough for Zhassulan Sydykov, a vocalist from Kostanay, whose talent was supported by the “Saby” Charitable Foundation last year.

Our Foundation has given support for Zhassulan so that he could participate in such a significant cultural event and appear on the stage together with such famous singers as Alibek Dnishev, Nurlan Abdullin, Batyrkhan Shukenov and other artists of the Kazakhstan stage. The purpose of our Foundation was to show Zhassulan those heights he could achieve using the maximum efforts in is daily hard work.

According to Zhassulan, it was his privilege to participate in the event together with talented singers he admired: “I listened to a lot of Alibek Dnishev’s songs. It was amazing that his voice had not changed at all over the last decades: he was singing just as many years ago bringing joy to his admirers, and his voice was pretty and clear”.

The concert translation will be presented to viewers on the republican television channel “Kazakhstan-1” on January 12, 2011 at 22:05.

The “Saby” Foundation would like to thank all people who participate, in one way or other, in Zhassulan’s destiny. Especially we would like to thank an expert of the “Alem” Programme, a famous composer and producer of Kazakhstan – Renat Gaisin.
