Alem – support of young talents

After a stunning success of Denis Ten in Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, public interest in figure skating among our fellow countrymen has risen sharply. Owing to diligence and perseverance of this talented guy, thousands of the Kazakhstan people have made their thirst steps in skates.

We want so much that such pleasant moments would come over again. Therefore we readily backed up the appeal of National Figure-Skating Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to provide financial support for Arthur Panikhin to participate in Grand Prix Competition for Juniors taking place 3 to 6 September in Ostrava, Check Republic.

Sabi Charity Fund covered all the expenses of the figure skater and his personal couch on air travelling, transfer, accommodation and catering. Now our sportspeople will represent Kazakhstan among 68 countries of the world in Men’s Single Skating Nomination.

Arthur has been figure skating for nearly 10 years and he has achieved good results. He was awarded a gold medal in 2012 and a silver medal in 2013 in Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

We do believe that Arthur will brilliantly perform in the international competition, justify our hopes and get 10.0!

By the 12th anniversary of our Foundation we have launched the renewed web site version of “Alem” Young Talents Support Program www.alemthebig.kz. The team of talented designers, computer experts and content managers has been working at this version for 2 months.

In the result of collective efforts the new, modern and quick oriented web site with the improved navigation system, unique interface and nice graphic images has been created.

In the new portal it has become more convenient to file applications for the participation in the program, to look through photosets and video, to read news. You can learn more detail information about Alem participants, to read their dairies and share with this information in the social networks.

We hope that you will estimate all qualitative changes of our internet page and the number of the possessors of grants of Saby Foundation will become greater.

Then you are the obligatory participant of the “Web Designer of Saby” Competition organized by Saby Charitable Foundation within the framework of the “Alem” Young Talents Support Program and you should contest for the receipt of educational grant.

Conditions of the competition:
To develop new design for Saby Foundation, but with the possibility of shifting of all existing content of thebig.kz including archive documents.

Grand prize:
The winner receives grant for the education in any university of Kazakhstan, selectively, or international grant*.

Saby Charitable Foundation within the frameworks of “Alem” Young Talents Support Program announces the enrolment to the group of advanced mathematicians of free education program. Pupils of 7th and 8th forms of secondary general schools are invited. The education will be held two times a week during 5 academic years.

Two months ago we received an interesting resume from one of the applicants of “Alem” Young Talents Support Program Akhazhanov Ablaikhan. Gifted young man with great ambitions wants to change the world to the best and always strives for the achievement of stated goals.

Ablaikhan started his educational way from the physico-mathematical school. Having completed the school with honours, he entered the Almaty Energy Institute on the specialty “Radiotechnics, Electronics and Telecommunications”. Parallely Ablaikhan got the second higher education in the Moscow Energy Institute. He participated in many city and republican school academic competitions on physics and mathematics and won medal places.

Ablaikhan decided to dedicate his future to scientific work in the sphere of nanotechnologies. The beginning engineer managed to find proper laboratory in Almaty and to obtain the permit for experimental investigations of nanomaterials named “graphene”. To continue to do his hobby at more serious level Ablaikhan dreams to continue the education in UCLA California University, Los Angeles city.

Ablaikhan says: “I want to create innovative products in the market of electronic devices. I think that three main elements are necessary for the development of any innovation: technology, production and market. Technology is a scientific or engineering idea, on which the innovation is based. The production involves the processes and instruments of technology transformation into a real product. The market is responsible for the delivery of product to final user and provision of continuity of the technology-production-market cycle”.

The young man filed the request to Saby Foundation about the education financing in Master’s degree program of California University after long searches of support in other foundations and companies. Finally, having passed the multiple-stage selection in our Foundation, he received the expected grant. This encouraging news the new “Alem” participant conceived with a great joy and modest smile. It seems that a young scientist shall have such image, which combines the sense of purpose, unique talent and modest intelligence.

The Fourth poetical contest in the State language, annually announced by Saby Foundation, was terminated. The contest, opening creative capacities of young authors from the whole Kazakhstan, is traditionally held since January to May.

This year the main expert in the sphere of literature became Koshym-Nogai Baibota Serikbaiuly, famous poet for children, translator and a member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan and Deputy chief editor of “Baldyrgan”. He commented the works of the beginning word-painters in the following way: “I am happy to see that our rising generation has a developed metaphoric language, logical sequence in the expression of details and feelings, as well as defined dialogue with readers.”

Following the results of the contest Gilymkhanov Marlen from West Kazakhstan region was recognized as the most praiseworthy participant. He received the grand prize – the notebook. But the more valuable award, according to the participants, is the possibility to try to award educational grants of the “Alem” program. Such chance our Foundation, along with the winner, gives to the laureates, who took the second and third places, Myrzataeva Kymbat from Arkalyk and Orynbasarov Rakhymzhan from Atyrau region.

How time does fly! It seems that only yesterday the possessor of Saby Foundation international grant on the “Alem” Young Talents Support Program Kanat Beisekeyev, having driven through the whole world, started his education in New York Cinema Academy specializing in “Photography” one year course. And now he came off the plane and returned to his native land.

Four seasons, within the frameworks of intensive training course, our “Alem” participant mastered the technique of photography in the best professional workshops of the world participating in all, even the most ambitious, projects of different styles such as: documental, classic, artistic and commercial.

Kanat also combined his study with work, accepting private orders from famous magazines, took photograph of look books, and prepared the series of reports about Kazakhstan people, who live in USA. The latter one induced active response among internet users, who learnt many interesting things about our former compatriots emigrating to America in search of a better life.

As Kanat explained, he began to treat more seriously to his work, learnt to think over his steps in detail and put his heart and soul into each photo. But the process of education did not terminate on this stage, on the contrary, a lot of work will be in future, new horizons, new projects and unlimited personal progress.

Saby Foundation believed, “Alem” Program promoted, Academy taught. Now your future depends upon you, Kanat.

Recently these words were the sacred dream of young graduates of secondary schools. With a sinking heart young girls and boys waited for the results of their tests and insistently believed in miracles…

And for good reason! Heavenly thoughts and steadfast faith is the guarantee of bright future. We are from the category of people who always aim to reach goals. One of the goals is to enter the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi. Saby Charitable Foundation assisted us with this question due to its “Alem” Young Talents Support Program. The foundation believed in our dream, in the chosen profession, for which we sincerely appreciate.

Only several years ago young graduates, who did not suspect about their existence, today are the best friends, who support each other in time of need, because we are the “Alem” participants.
Yesterday we were the pride of a modest school in distant localities and now we are among the best students of the largest university of our country. Yesterday we were nestlers and now we are ready to work for good of our country every day. It takes a few time and we will become professionals, we will not save our strength with this view!

On any events of the university among active participants you can always see the students of the Faculty of Journalism – Karlyga, Zhuldyz, Danagul and talented poetess Akzharkyn, who studies in the Faculty of Economy, but always is notable for her improvisation and artistic character. Often future philologist and young writer Zhandarbek, who successfully takes part in different competitions and readings, joins these students.

Each of us is the patriot of the independent country and we are always ready to justify expectations of our parents and, of course, the expectations of “Alem” program.

Annually the world celebrates the International Day of Native Language on the 21st of February. We decided that it is good idea to remind the young word-painters of our country about the fact that Children Poetical Contest in the state language, held by Saby Foundation for the fourth year, is continued.

This original contest created favorable conditions for the development of intellectual work, stretch of imagination and establishment of literate speech of Kazakhstan young people.

During the holding of contest 2 books of poems of young poets were published, 6 laureates became the possessors of educational grants by specialty “Journalism” and “Kazakh Philology” in the best universities of the country, 3 persons received notebooks as the reward.

Now there is time to file an application for the participation on the website alemthebig.kz and to follow the example of those persons, who believed themselves and achieved great purposes thanks to Saby Foundation.

In the last two years the name of Kanat Beisekeyev is famous among advanced young people of Kazakhstan. His exciting reports, made for the famous Internet publications, became popular among connoisseurs of pictorial journalism.

Kanat studies at New York Cinema Academy with the specialization in “Photography”, his education is possible thanks to the international grant from Saby Foundation, which he won within the framework of the “Alem” Young Talents Support Program.
