The social and cultural campaign “Nomad’s Way”, organized this year in February by Saby Foundation, had a goal to introduce Kazakhstan to the world as a young country at the political arena, but with deep historical roots dating back to the ancientry. The cultural heritage of our country, Kazakh masters Zergers being an example of achievements, became a message for the West.
Certainly, this campaign drew attention to the Foundation as well: having carefully examined Saby fundraisers, several foreign organizations proposed to cooperate, that proves a positive evaluation of our activities at the international level.
In support to this fact the European Society for Quality Research – ESQR conferred Saby Foundation with the “International Diamond Prize for Customer Satisfaction 2012” at the award ceremony held in Rome, on June 23-24.
It is annually awarded to commercial and non-commercial organizations from different countries “in sign of recognition of distinguished achievements in meeting customers’ expectations and excellent outcomes in quality management”.
High estimation of the qualified experts is not only the result of well coordinated work of professional Foundation team under the leadership of the President Ms. A.I. Tasmagambetova, but also an excellent motivation for continued functioning of our organization for beneficiaries.
This spring all the people around the World remember the days of the Chernobyl Disaster took place on April 26, 1986. The representatives of our country also took part in the rectification of consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl Atomic Electric Power Station, where some of them have lost their health and some of them – their lives.
Every year the total number of survivors is getting thinner, but the Chernobyl Veterans do not give up. Overcoming their physical and moral pain, they continue working for the public good and for the benefit of future generations.
And it was very pleased to receive the recognition from the Chernobyl Heroes for its charitable activity: in connection with the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl Accident Mrs. Tasmagambetoba Assel Imangaliyevna, the President of the “Saby” Foundation, has been awarded with the commemorative medal of the Union of Chernobyl Veterans and Local Wars.
The “Energy Summit 2011” organized by the European Business Assembly and held in London at the beginning of March has become an extraordinary event for our Foundation. At the annual International Socratic Ceremony being integral part of the Summit the “Saby” Foundation was awarded a honorary award of Queen Victoria (“Queen Victoria Commemorative Medal”) – an exclusive British prize for the honor, dignity and courage, which has taken a special place in the treasury of the “Saby” Foundation.
“The award named after Queen Victoria has certainly become a great achievement for us, since the international recognition marks the beginning of a new stage in the work of our organization”, – A.I. Tasmagambetova, the President of the Foundation commented on the awarding.
We express our deep gratitude for the appreciation of the European Business Assembly of our activities in the field of philanthropy and we will continue to promote enthusiastically the idea of social welfare and humanization of the modern society.
The end of the year is a traditional period for summing up: it is a period of analysis of the work performed, estimation of success and statement of failures. In addition, on the threshold of New Year’s holidays the “Saby” Foundation reviews in details its annual activity. A lot of things have been made:
Successful realization of the Project “Decent life for disabled persons” started in 2008 and continued actively in this year, has allowed thousands of people with disabilities from various regions of our country to feel freedom of movement. Annual work on social integration of leavers from social child-care centres has been added with new directions: psychological trainings for children and preparation for the Unified National Test in the tutorial center.
A medical direction has also been marked by several serious stages in our work with sponsored medical institutions. In addition three large objects have been constructed under the Sports Project: a sports ground and two children’s playgrounds. Besides, new projects have been started: “Alem” – a programme for support of young talents, and construction of a new modern building for a child care center in Kyzylorda.
It is pleasant that multidirectional activity of the “Saby” Foundation has been appreciated highly with awards given to the Foundation this year: Annual Award “Asyl Alma” of the Almaty Akimat in the nomination “For contribution to fight against socially significant diseases” for the Project “Decent life for disabled persons”, Annual public award “ZhanShuak”of the Disabled Persons Confederation of Kazakhstan in the nomination “Accessible Transport” for development of the “Invataxi” service in all regions of Kazakhstan, and the most important and significant award – Award of the Capital Akim for civil responsibility in supporting the most vulnerable population layers. These awards evidence correctness of the corporate policy of our organization and chosen directions of our activity.
