The annual competition http://entrepreneur.thebig.kz/, organized by large entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Kenes Rakishev and Vyacheslav Kim jointly with “Saby” Foundation, according to the initial idea is not limited only by issuance of grants for business development, by which it makes a real difference from analogous competitions.

Following the conception of young businesspersons active support, Saby Foundation cooperates with the winners of competition: involves them in its projects or organizes joint projects; distinguishes the amount of work, renders informational support, helping to establish and develop new business.

Our new partner became the possessor of one of the grand prizes – project of car tyre grinding into rubber crumb. The project received the offer for installation of special injury prevention surface on sport and play grounds, which are constructed by our Foundation in Aktobe city within the “Sport Project”.

Rubber crumb received in the result of tyre recycling has a wide and perspective field of secondary use. In this case, the recyclable material is used in the production of rubberized rugs.

The winning project has a good beginning. Wish good speed!

International Children’s Day is a holiday awaited by kids with the same impatience as the New Year or Birthday. Parents arrange for their babies outdoor walks, fun events in the parks and squares, entertainment and treats.

Orphans and children from poor and socially vulnerable families do not remain without attention either. There are many wonderful events and activities with concerts, contests, entertaining games and gifts for them with the support of local governments, non-profit organizations and private sponsors. Each child should have memories of a happy childhood.

Through its activities, our Foundation also tries to make a contribution to the health and education of the future generation of our country: the major projects ‘Saby’ are aimed at this.

We want all children to grow up healthy and happy, to learn only with full marks, to do things they love and in the future to become true professionals and worthy citizens of their country.

May 9, 1945, the Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War, becomes more and more distant from us, the number of veterans who saw the awful war decreases from year to year. But the memory about heroes will remain in our hearts forever.

To lay flowers to the eternal light, to remember the heroic deed of grandfathers and great-grandfathers and to tell children about it – is the sacred duty of descendants to the history and country.

About the Foundation, about our work and a little bit about me

‘Saby’ Foundation is 13 years old: a considerable period to make a name and form a solid reputation. But if the reputation is faulty, it is enough time to make this fact clear. Our Foundation has a reputation as a reliable partner, to whom sponsors and philanthropists entrust their money knowing that projects they fund, are provided for all contingencies and always well-timed. We do not rush from one action to another: our projects solve systemic problems, they are deeply thought out, therefore, as a rule, conditions and opportunities for their implementation shape well, like puzzles fall into place, and this means moving in the right direction.

The central driving force of our Foundation is a great desire to render help those, who need it, not looking at this for benefit, without propagandizing and chanting slogans and appeals. Because true human desire to help never needs for advocacy.

Why do we do this? For us this is a special job that makes us included in the world and gives the right to a sense of self-respect. Facilitating and improving the lives of disadvantaged people, increasing the level of education of young people, giving them the impetus to the development and much more we first of all get a huge charge of the fullness of life and self-creation. For each person it is important to be needed – and not only for his/her family and dear ones. To be significant for the society, this is the highest degree of realization of the individual.

There are a phrase said by great Indian philosopher and thinker Swami Vivekananda that never cease to delight us and inspire us to new deeds:

‘Do you compassionate towards others? If so, your unity increases. And if you are not compassionate towards others, then may you be the greatest intellectual of all times, you will be left nothing. You are just a kind of chilly intellect and nothing more. But if you compassionate, may you have not read a single book and do not know other languages, but you’re on the right track.’

‘Saby’ Charity Foundation celebrates its 13th anniversary!

There is so much done within these years! With hindsight, we are proud to remember all the implemented projects, some of them have been developed and implemented for the first time while charity movement exists in our country.

One of such projects, for example, was the project ‘Good Living Standards for Handicapped People’: today at the roads of Kazakhstan there are 62 specialized vehicles intended for traveling of the people with disabilities who use wheelchairs. All vehicles have been purchased by our charity foundation and donated to the local societies of the disabled.

The infant orphanage for 60 children was built and commissioned in Kyzylorda city. 2-floor and 3-block building with total area 1717 sq.m. is built and fully equipped for comfortable living of orphans at the age till 4. The certified study center for infant development ‘Montessori’ was established at the orphanage. ‘Saby’ foundation as well performed landscaping and planting of the territory with the area 0.7 ha. Moreover the large children’s playground and covered summer pavilions were constructed.

In scope of the ‘sports project’ 30 sports and play grounds were built in 10 cities of the country. The foster children from 20 boarding schools have the opportunity not only to play or train outdoors but also go in for sports at professional level.

Within all these years we go on working on our ‘Educational Project’: we keep in touch with orphanages and help foster children to find their own way in life. For this purpose we are constantly dealing with children: career oriented tests, training courses to prepare children for the unified national testing, psychological trainings, educational grants.

In scope of the ‘Alem’ Young Talents Support Program ‘Saby’ foundation provides comprehensive support for gifted youth of Kazakhstan, including allocation of educational grants to allow the children studying at the most prestigious educational institutions as in our country and in near and far abroad. Annual poetry competition is performed in scope of ‘Alem’ program. Young ‘gifted’ mathematicians attend the 5-year-advanced mathematical courses, which have been organized by our foundation in the scope of this Program too. Moreover this year the foundation ‘Saby’ organized a competition for promising young businessmen ‘Build your own Business’ aimed to allocate grants for young people to develop own business.

The project ‘Youth’ intended to help former graduates from Almaty boarding schools to resolve their housing problems. Due to the initial 50% payment for a 1-room apartment in Almaty city, which is paid by our foundation, the young people are able to possess own apartment.

And, the most important event – we start building of social residential house for 80 persons in Aktobe city, where the orphans, graduates with disabilities from specialized boarding schools will live. All the expenses associated with preparing the design and estimate documentation, building and equipping the object, territory landscaping and planting ‘Saby’ foundation will cover.

This fruitful activity is possible just thanks to philanthropists and sponsors who support us within all these years, entirely trusting us and providing invaluable assistance. We continue to tell them THANK YOU!
