More than 100,000 of transportations were fulfilled during 2012.

52 Cars at Invataxi Kazakhstan Car Fleet!

By | Decent life for Disabled Persons

52 Cars at Invataxi Kazakhstan Car Fleet! When you are waiting for something, time goes so slowly. For a wheelchair-bound invalid, dreaming, perhaps, for the first time after many years of imprisonment in his/her own home, to leave his/her home and to make a trip round the city, to give a look at new buildings of already hardly familiar streets or to slightly touch withered but alive leaves, such expectation will become quite intolerable.

It takes long half a year from the date of signing of Invataxi Service Development Agreement in a populated locality till the receiving of cars granted by Saby Charitable Foundation. It will take precisely such period of time to purchase and re-equip cars at the plant in Germany where special hydraulic lifts are installed which release a person in a wheelchair, getting into the car, from the dangerous necessity of changing a seat.

Six months from the moment two Volkswagen Caddy cars were purchased for Almaty Society of Disabled People, at last passed. The cars passed customs clearance, formalities at the State Automobile Inspection and enlarged Kazakhstan specialized car fleet for disabled people established by our Foundation in 2008. Now there are already 52 invataxies functioning in 16 cities of the country.

This long-awaited event was realized thanks to the support of KazRosGas LLP which by its non-indifference and readiness to render assistance to people in need has repeatedly proved its social responsibility. Having entrusted funding amounts to Saby Charitable Foundation, KazRosGas LLP took part in the Project ‘Decent Life for Disabled People’ and gave many Kazakhstan people who, by a quirk of fate is bound to a wheelchair, the opportunity to feel freedom of movement.

Thank you, KazRosGas!

Special Purpose Elevators for Regions

By | Decent life for Disabled Persons

Special Purpose Elevators for Regions Another batch of mobile special purpose elevators, which make possible wheelchair people to ascend and descend stairs of buildings and constructions, was delivered to Almaty. These devices enable handicapped persons to comfortably and securely surmount staircases without wearisome relocation from a wheel-chair.

The primary purchase and approbation in 9 cities allowed to estimate positive result of the exploitation of both track laying and wheeled elevators. The new mechanisms will be donated to the societies of handicapped persons on the base of which Invataxi Regional Services operate in the order of received requests.

Soon handicapped people from Taraz, Ekibastus and Kyzylorda will be able to test the equipment. Users from Astana and Shymkent will receive additional units of equipment taking into account a greater number of cars in the special purpose car parks.

The improvement of the work of Invataxi Regional Services’ through equipping them with ladder lifters is realized as part of one of the stages of the Saby Charitable Foundation’s Project named as ‘A Decent Life for Disabled People’.

Staircase Is Not a Problem Any More

By | Decent life for Disabled Persons

Staircase Is Not a Problem Any More In the beginning of this year, the Associations of Disabled People of the nine cities of Kazakhstan, the participants of the Project “Decent Life for Disabled People”, have received a present from Saby Charitable Foundation – the portable stair-climbing mechanisms to complete Invataxi transportation services. These units are used for the transportation of wheelchair-bound people, making their lives significantly easier, since they allow, with some effort, to lift up and down a wheelchair-bound person at the stairs in the buildings not equipped with elevators and ramps. This kind of ‘stair rover’ does not require the equipping of stairs with special rails or other auxiliary joints.

Many people with special difficulties in travelling managed for the first time in many years to leave the walls of their houses to visit the health care facilities and social institutions, to meet with friends or just to see the sun.

For the present moment we have an agreement for the supply of the second lot of lifting units from Italy. In mid-summer one stair lift for each association in Taraz, Kyzylorda and Ekibastuz will be delivered to the sponsored Associations of Disabled People, while the associations in Astana and Shymkent, in view of the larger Invataxi fleet of motor cars, will additionally receive one more unit.

The Arrival of Long-Awaited Vehicles

By | Decent life for Disabled Persons

The Arrival of Long-Awaited Vehicles Saby Charitable Foundation is hurrying to cheer you with a pleasant news: the Volkswagen purpose-built vehicles have arrived for the Almaty’s societies of disabled persons: Transporter minibus for Eldani Foundation, two Caddy passenger cars for Almaty City Society of Disabled Persons (ACSDP) and Crafter bus for Association of Disabled Children Parents (ADCP).

For Eldani and ADCP these vehicles were necessary more than air. The rehabilitation centers are in operation at these organizations, which assist the children and youth with difficulties in mental and physical development. Here the psychological recovery and adaptation measures are held with children, and previously many of them had to get here by public transport. And now they will be delivered and carried by the special motor vehicle designed to transport the disable people.

In ACSDP two vehicles will be used for the completion of the Invataksi fleet. And two Caddy vehicles are next in turn, which have been already purchased by our Foundation and will be delivered within 5 months, therefore the capabilities of the passenger service increase significantly.

Saby Foundation sincerely thanks all philanthropists for their contribution to the development of the project “A Decent Life for Disabled People” which made the life of particular people a bit easier.

“Invataxi” will run another two vehicles

By | Decent life for Disabled Persons

“Invataxi” will run another two vehicles It became rather traditional to see motor vehicles with blue “dams” used for the purposes of free transport services to wheelchair users on the roads of our City.

But a great number of requests being addressed to the “Invataxi” Dispatcher Service show a significant deficiency in these special vehicles (being acquired for and donated to the Almaty Society of the Disabled) to meet the current needs of disabled people. In this regard, the “Saby” Charitable Foundation decided to enlarge the park fleet of the “Invataxi” Service in Almaty with another two Volkswagen Caddies.

It became possible thanks to our sponsor, LLP “KazRosGas”, which in line with its Policy of Corporate Social Responsibility has allocated the required funds for the purposes of implementing the “Decent Life to Disabled People” Project.

In the first half of the summer the given transport vehicles will be delivered to Almaty and immediately put into operation.

Easy up and down stairs!

By | Decent life for Disabled Persons

Easy up and down stairs! Six months ago, after having started the process of accumulation of funds for procurement of lifting equipment for ups and downs of wheelchairs, the “Saby” Charitable Foundation as of 2011-year end has bought 10 sets of crawler-tracked mechanisms manufactured in Italy.

Now the given equipment is donated to “Invataxi” Services (participants of the Social Project “Decent Life to Disabled People”) operating in the following nine cities of the Republic: Almaty, Astana, Pavlodar, Semey, Shymkent, Kokshetau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Aktobe, Kostanay .

There is no doubt this rehabilitation equipment will improve the quality of life of locomotor people because it is not a secret that their life is very difficult living in the modern city, and each the staircase shaft is like climbing Everest for them. It is always very difficult to run through the thresholds, curbs and stairs in multistorey apartment and public buildings which are not equipped with the lifts and wheelchair ramps.

Every wheelchair user when calling the “Invataxi” Service can be sure that he or she will be transported to the right place mainly because of the lifting equipment that makes it easy to break any barriers existing nowadays.

And we still continue to accumulate funds, and we hope that it will be very soon when the other Project participants may use their “up and down mechanisms.”
